When you think of a romantic getaway, a tropical beach destination comes into mind, but some romantic spots are hidden in plain sight in the Midwest.
A romantic getaway is something all couples should take the time to do. With a few Midwestern destinations within driving distance, it makes it easy to wind down with your partner and go on a little vacation you both deserve.
Travel Curator, a global luxury travel and lifestyle media brand, released a list of five of the most romantic getaway spots in the Midwest.
So, where in the Great Lakes State can you find the most romantic getaway spots?
South Haven and Traverse City, Michigan.
Here is what the report had to say about South Haven:
"This sleepy beach destination is perfect for relaxing and reconnecting. Charter a sailboat out to the rustic 19th-century South Haven Light house then spend the day exploring the wineries down the South Haven wine trail. For an authentic experience, try one of the many family-run B&B's at South Haven.
