If You're An Amazon Customer, You Could Be Getting A Refund

If your child bought something in an app from Amazon's app store without your permission, you may get your money back.

On Tuesday, the Federal Trade Commission announced that refunds are now available for parents whose children made in-app purchases, like buying upgrades in mobile games purchased through Amazon's app store, without their knowledge from November 2011 and May 2016.

The FTC says consumers eligible for refunds should have been contacted by Amazon via email, but can check Amazon's site to confirm their status. Consumers have until May 28, 2018 to submit a request for a refund.
