If you're a big tea drinker, listen up. According to researcher Dr. Quan Vuong, from the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia, the best kind of tea is microwaved tea.
Apparently, microwaving tea instead of boiling it activated the best results chemically and added better taste to the cup.
By microwaving, it added "80% of the caffeine, theanine, and polyphenol (and generates the best taste)."
Twitter has other thoughts, though.
- "It is a breach of the Human Rights Act to microwave a cup of tea. DO. NOT. DO. THIS. EVER," one user said.
- Another offered, "I'm not microwaving tea, I'm not a barbarian.”
So, would you microwave your tea?
