The other day I was riding with our boss in his vehicle to a station event after work. Like anyone else, he plugged in his phone, punched in the address to where we were headed into Waze for directions. Much to my surprise, when the voice came on to tell us where to turn next, it was the adorable little voices of his son and daughter. I had no idea you could customize Waze like that. How fun!
I looked it up online and gathered all the steps into one easy thing for you if this is something you'd like to try with your kids - or anyone. I'm thinking it'd be fun to have my Mom voice directions for me while I'm driving somewhere!
To record your voice directions:
Open the Waze app and tap MENU.
Tap VOICE and Sound
Tap WAZE voice
Tap RECORD NEW VOICE
Tap on the direction you'd like to record (for example "turn left" or "turn right" etc.).
Tap the RECORD ICON then tap the STOP ICON when you're done.
To play your recording back to hear what it sounds like, tap the PLAY ICON.
When you're done recording all that you wish to record, tap DONE to name your customized voice and then finish by tapping ADD.
