For years, we've always encouraged you to T.O.Y. "Think Outside Yourself".  What does it mean to "TOY"?  There are lots of different ways. You could offer to babysit, mow a neighbor's yard, or even pick up the tab for the person behind you.

You might be reading this thinking, "that sounds great, but that's just not me. I'm just not much of an encourager."

Over the weekend, I heard a great message at church about 3 simple steps you can take to become an encourager.

  1. Look for the needs in people.
  2. Look for the best in people, instead of always seeing their worst.
  3. Look for the discouraged people in your life.

As you read that list, I bet there was someone that popped into your mind that needs some encouragement.  So, here's a simple thing you can do right now. I'd like to challenge you to send a text, an email, or call that person and let them know you're thinking, and or, praying for them. That's all it takes!

I know that might not seem like much, but it REALLY will change their day!  Just think of the last time someone reached out to you. Didn't it feel great?  And you know what? You'll feel great knowing that you've made a difference in someone's life.

Now, go send that text. Send that email. Make that call. Encourage!
